Dr. Joseph P. Berglund
Joseph P. Berglund, is a lifetime resident of Fort Worth. He graduated from Western Hills High School and attended Texas Christian University on an athletic scholarship. As a TCU student he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and was selected to the NCAA Academic All-American football team in 1974. He then completed four years of graduate study at the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May 1979.
Dr. Berglund’s professional interests cover the range of comprehensive family dentistry with an emphasis on restorative, esthetic, and implant reconstruction. A commitment to
continuing education allows Dr. Berglund to offer patients the most current treatment
options available. As a lifetime member of the Fort Worth District Dental Society, Texas
Dental Association, and American Dental Association, he has a strong network of
colleagues and specialists if patients need referrals for specialized care.
Community service is a responsibility we all share. Our doctors and staff participate in
various health education fairs providing dental health screenings and treatment. Currently, Dr. Berglund volunteers in the Salt and Light Dental Clinic providing services
to individuals who typically have no other resources to receive dental care. He also
participates in the dental outreach program for the Convoy of Hope. As a member of the
Fort Worth Dental Disaster Team, he has joined other local dental professionals in the
forensic identification of victims of accident disasters.
Owen N. McDaniel
Owen N. McDaniel is also a Fort Worth native who graduated from Paschal High School, completed his BA in Biology at Texas Christian University, and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1980.Upon graduation, he entered a practice in Dallas prior to moving to Fort Worth and becoming a partner with Dr. Berglund in 1983.
Through extensive continuing education, Dr. McDanie has refined his clinical skills in the areas of cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. He is a member of the Fort Worth Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
As member of the Fort Worth Dental Disaster Team, he has performed dental forensic identification for the victims of the Delta 191 crash at DFW airport in 1985 and the David Kuresh-Branch Davidian disaster in Waco in the 1993.
Dr. McDanie has been involved in local mission work in Fort Worth participating and organizing 40 dentist who treated over 240 people through the dental outreach of The Convoy of Hope sponsored by Tarrant Net. He has led two missions to The Diocese of Northern Malawi, and has extensive training in leading and preparing short term foreign mission teams.He has been on the board of Sharing of Ministries Abroad (SOMA) for eight years. He is past chairman of the Fort Worth Episcopal Diocese World Mission subcommittee for Northern Malawi and is the U.S. representative for the Rt. Rev. Christopher Boyle, Bishop of Northern Malawi. He is a member of the foreign mission committee of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church where he is an active member.
